(no subject)

Have had a headache for...well, longer than I've been awake (I remember waking up, going "Shit, headache!" and forcing myself back to sleep), so all the wonderful things stuck in my mind will stay stuck till this bloody thing goes away. Maybe I'll get caught up on commenting. Or maybe I'll sit in a dark room with dark glasses on and think dark thoughts.

Definitely one or the other.

Migraines, my dear?

I ride that rollercoaster, too, and fight that fight. If you aren't ready or can't afford to start the neurologist/drug wars thing, then go to a GOOD health food store and get some Aura Cacia oil of lavender. Put a drop or two on a hankie and sniff it often. It'll help. If you really like it, you can put it directly on the skin between your nose and upper lip. An ice pack on the forehead helps as well. I recommend the good soft refreezable ones with the clothlike texture that they sell at the national chain drugstores.

I second the suggestion of an ice pack. I find that one over my eyes really helps when I have a migraine, too.

Gessi, hope you start feeling better soon!

If I go to sleep with a headache, I generally wake up with the same headache. Taking brainkiller and then going back to sleep is a better choice for me.

I hope you're feeling better, sweetie. *kiss*

Oh, thank you. Have written down the name and will look for it on Thursday. :)

Gessi, who now knows *exactly* how long Excedrin Migraine lasts in her system...
