Apr. 23rd, 2002 04:03 pmMy mom bought Sam a potty as a late birthday present (after I mentioned that I thought Sam was ready to be out of diapers...Mum wouldn't take it upon herself to get us something like that if the kid wasn't showing signs.) and we picked it up from the mailbox on Friday...she took right to it...she must have sat on it five times the first night.
Well, today, she whizzed in the potty for the first time. Yay!:)
And, when she was in the tub, she asked to get out and sit on the toilet (her potty has a removable seat that fits into the toilet seat, so she can sit there without fear of falling in) and she pooped in the toilet, then got back into the tub.
This is so cool.
Not that I think we'll be able to stop buying diapers any time soon (from what I've read, it takes about eight months for training to complete and I'm definitely not rushing her), but I'm really glad that she's figured it out so quickly.:)
(I was going to title this "Go Sammy, Go", but it didn't seem adivsable. *Grin*)
