OOOH. Today's Wikipedia picture of the day is a stitched panorama of the skyline of downtown Portland, Oregon on the Willamette River, taken from the east waterfront and the Creative Commons picture of the day is a lovely Japanese moth.

This is neat and makes the artist in me happy. It's a gadget that you hook up to your computer and it visualizes your hard drive. Click...it makes more sense when you see it. :)

~~~
Too bloody cool. Kiva Robots performing the Nutcracker...or at least a little of it. It's a minute and twenty-four seconds, so loading shouldn't take forever, even on dialup.
~~~

Sarah Beth Durst has written a book (Into The Wild) that sounds dead interesting and I look forward to reading it. She's also has been posting and commenting on obscure fairy tales in her blog. Jack My Hedgehog is a weird tale and her commentary is hilarious.

~~~
I finished the case for Jeff's mp3 player (no worries, it isn't a Yulemas gift. Just something I realized he kind of needed). He really likes it. Yay. :) I did take pictures...and I do plan a big huge craft picture post in the new year. Maybe posting more pictures could be next year's not-a-resolution. Though, I wouldn't be posting them every day. 'Cause then I'd run out. ;)
Woo-Hoo! New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson have settled their differences.
Peter Jackson said We are delighted to continue our journey through Middle Earth". Woo! And Sam will probably even be old enough to see it in the theatre with me when it's released. Yay! :)
~~~

With the package that came yesterday, everything but one PaperbackSwap book (that may not get here in time as it's being sent Media Mail) and one thingie that I bought via Amazon Marketplace, I've got everything I ordered for Jeff's Yulemas stuff. Sam's got some more books coming from PaperbackSwap, but I think all her stuff is here too. My mum and I are reinstituting the Yulemas Eve shopping expedition, 'cause they're getting here on the Eve rather than the Day. Yay! :)

Jeff, Sam and I are also going to do a bit of shopping on Friday, so Sam can purchase the things she's giving and I can get some stocking stuffers. Figure I'll get more of those with Mum as well.

Via [livejournal.com profile] yendi it's Thirty Years of Lucasfilm Christmas Cards. I think the 1979 card, with C3p0 as Santa and R2-D2 as a reindeer is my favorite. Though it is the first time I've ever thought that 3p0 needed some pants. Even if he isn't fully functional and anatomically correct.

~~~
I've been meaning to mention this since Friday. The Princess Bride Game. It'll be downloadable in the spring and will be $19.99...if you pre-order, it'll be $16.99. I generally hate pre-ordering unless it helps the item's production, but I probably will this time.
The Astronomy Pictures of the Year. Look, enough for a calendar! *Grin*
