We were informed by our recycling company that it is not allowed to sort recyclables into plastic bags. Apparently the bags "choke" up the system at the plant. I have no idea how or why this is, but they won't pick up anything if we have it in plastic bags -- only straight into the plastic bins they provide, or in paper sacks. Just FYI. I have no idea how widespread this problem is.
