Okay, this is the perfect melding of reading and crafting. Penguin has started a series of books (six so far, and if it takes off, there will be others) where the front covers are blank art paper. The reader can decorate the cover any way they like. It's an altered book that's still readable after the alterations! Just...nifty. :)

VW towing a 747. And I thought it was neat when I saw a tow truck toting school buses around! *grin*

How odd. I've been in *the* most terrible mood for most of the day and it just...went away. I'm kind of between moods right now. But I don't mind. Anything's better than the evil mood that descended upon me as I slept.

We had a dandy weekend. Well, Jeff didn't have the best weekend ever, as he's fighting a cold, but I made sure he had plenty of water, decongestants, lotioned tissues and ginger ale (the official drink of sick people everywhere!;). We watched movies and hung out together. It was laid back and good. I worked on one of the felt ornament kits I acquired from eBay (have three...would have four, but the Snoopy kit went sky-high) and made lists of other things I want to make, when I'm done with the two Pooh ornaments I'm working on.
firinel, I finished the ornament I'm going to send you...now I just need to find the right envelope in which to mail it. The only padded envelopes I have are *huge* and it's only four or five inches high. I'll figure something out in the next couple days and will send it on. :)

I found a really pretty journal while wandering around eBay...didn't "win" it, but it started me thinking. Would any of you be interested in a Round Robin type journal where I write/decorate a couple pages and then send it to the next person on the list, who does the same till it ends up back with me. I'll scan/photograph the pages and put 'em up for us all to enjoy. This would be something I'd start early next year...February, perhaps, and it'll probably take the rest of the year to get back here. I'd be responsible for buying the journal and the postage to the first person on the list. Everyone else would be responsible for postage to the next person. We could set up a community, so the notes mentioning that the journal was on it's way again would be less prone to being lost on ye olde friends list.
Annnnyway, if there's any interest beyond me, I'll start looking for a nifty journal that would work for both writing and crafting (which can be anything that fits in an open book and feels crafty). If there isn't any interest beyond me, I'll cry. ;)

We watched Wordplay on Saturday, and it was *very* good. I'd never realized that creating a crossword puzzle was also doing a crossword puzzle. If you watch the dvd, check out the The 5 Unforgettable Puzzles Ever" featurette. It's a great supplement.

I do think that's all for now. Hope this finds each of you in a good mood, or in a bad mood that dissipates quickly.
