Woo-HOO! Full props for Connecticut! A decade-long battle for marriage equality in Connecticut ended late Wednesday when the General Assembly voted to update the state's marriage laws to conform with a landmark court ruling allowing gay and lesbian couples to tie the knot.

Barnes & Noble is doing a summer reading thing for kids in grades 1-6. We're going to try it. Six books? Hah...maybe we'll do it twice (We being Sam doing the reading and answering and me helping with spelling and such).
Now I just need to find a summer reading program for me. ;)

Yesterday, while giving Charlie a bath, I knocked over the pitcher, onto the floor, twice. Later, when I was getting up to close the front doors, I knocked my water off the table. Jeeeeeeze.
Maybe I'm done for a while and dryness will abound inside the house. Outside the house, it's supposed to be raining, on and off, for the next few days.

Oh neat. Solar desk lamps. Probably only high on the nifty meter if your desk is near a window, but still...:)

I would like people to stop rebooting series (usually in the movies) now. Yes, some of them can be good and quite interesting, but I'd much rather watch what happens next. And there would be less room for bitching about what was changed or updated, as the majority of the story would be original.

Baby's asleep in my right arm, so I'll post this now and save whatever else is in my head for next time.
