(no subject)
Yay Sunday. (Aka the first day of
darthgeek's weekend when I can try to catch up on things here.)(Which is kind of like trying to empty the sea with a soup spoon, but more fun. No seagulls though.) 'Puter is well now...and we've just got to wait till payday so we can get her out of the shop.:)
Frustrating? Absolutely. But this is a "Well, what can you do but wait?" situation. And I *am* getting ahead on the whole organizing thing. Somewhat.
darthgeek's cold is getting better. He worked from home Thu-Sat and seems to be breathing a lot better now. Which is handy, since I seem to be coming down with the cold as well. Sam's sniffly, but I think that'll be the extent of it...she isn't currently coughing nor is her nose running and I'm being very hopeful.
I was hoping to have a houswarming/birthday party for Sam at the end of next month...but I really don't know if I'll be able to get everything together in time. I want to have the dining room done, which includes finding more chairs and making pads for the ones we have and have lots of seating in the living room...maybe I'll push it to sometime in April. (Anxious? Moi? Naaaah.)
I've been reading Terry Pratchett's Night Watch and I like it *so* much. I've been reading the Discworld series for years and this is definitely one of my favorites...it doesn't make me laugh as much as the others, but it does make me *think* and draws me deeply into the story. I think it's a good trade off.
My life feels more boring that usual lately, but I think I'm less depressed. Maybe boredom cures depression.;)
The basement ick that made my lungs clog has gone away. I figure it was either mold from the dungeon that has been washed off/dried up or it's something that'll come back in the spring and we'll have to deal with it then. While I'm *hoping* it's the former, I'm just glad that a third of the house is no longer off limits to me.
I bought a cd boom box at Target last week and it has definitely helped fight off the tedium of working in the basement (which is where the washer & dryer are...I've found that if I don't hang up/fold stuff before I bring it up, it doesn't get done). Espcially since I finally found the rest of my cds. Yay.:)
I'm not sure what else to say.
