I'm not so sure about the UU church in town...they're not even doing anything for Solstice...I know not every UU congregation has a large Pagan...section, but that's the main reason I'd like to join. If I'd like to join...I'm not so much a joiner when it comes to religious things...and I'm *really* wembling on this one. But this particular church is right *out* if they don't have a visible Pagan contingent.

When we were at the Pride Festival on Sunday I was struck by how difficult it was to tell who was going where...I mean, Jeff, Sam and I parked by the zoo (about five miles from the park) (Ok, it wasn't...but that's how it *Felt*. I did walk the whole way without whining or sitting down. But I did give thanks to the trees that shaded me for a bit, 'cause I think I would have barfed if it had not been for them.) (Hmm...I did sit down once...but that was on a black marble bench in the conservatory...and it was a wee bit *warm*. Does sitting down, going "OwOwHottt!" and standing back up count?), so we could have been headed there...it seemed like a lot of the people at the Juneteenth celebration went to Pride as well (or vice versa), and there were a lot of families at all three places.

I *really* liked that...the experience just adds to the "See? We *are* everyone and everywhere" bit. I wish it had lasted longer.

We went for a drive on Tuesday night, after I'd bought Neil's book (*Very* good, so far.:), and ended up driving through the country and 'round the reservoir (which is very much a park...quite pretty). I saw two deer and a raccoon...Jeff only saw one of the deer, but he was kind of busy with the whole driving thing. :)

I stuck my head out the window and let the wind blow me about for a bit. It was refreshing and just...*nice*.

I truly do love summer nights.
