And a lovely time was had by all...
Oct. 17th, 2002 01:17 amSam and Mum get along more than fabulously. Its not that Sammygirl's a shy, retiring sort of child, but she does take a while to warm up to people, she has to like you a *LOT* to let you hold her more than a moment and there are a literal handful of people on this planet that she'll be with, without Jeff or I there. Mum's in all those categories, and was by the morning of the second day. And, the feeling is mutual...I think Sam only got on her nerves twice, though I could have missed it.
I hadn't realized how much I'd missed Mum till I saw her in the airport. Knowing I won't see her tomorrow (her flight leaves early, the airport's an hour or so away, and she's got to return the car...so saying bye tonight was the most logical course of action.) or the day after or any day after that for at least the rest of the winter, and probably more...that hurts. But I wouldn't have given up this time with her for anything on this planet.
