jenny_junipurr sent me the link that let me know that the girls who left cookies on their neighbor's porch won't have to pay the fine, because a fundraiser through a local radio station more than paid it.

The neighbor isn't faring quite as well. "Wanita Young said, "This has turned into quite a fiasco. It's something that never should have happened and it's just devastating. My phone hasn't stopped ringing. My life has been threatened and I'll probably have to move out of town."

Awww. My heart bleeds. And, as I was saying to darthgeek, I'm not sure I believe her about the death threats. Oh, I know there are crazy jerks everywhere, but this *is* a woman who spun a plate of cookies into a twelve hour panic attack and a trip to the hospital.
