[livejournal.com profile] penmage pointed out the William Shatner Dvd Club. This is not a club where one recieves nothing but dvds that ol' Billy has acted in. This is a club where one gets films that he's decided are cool.

I neeeeeeeeeeeed to do this sooooooooo badly! *grin*

My parents are coming for Christmas week (I'm more than jazzed about this:) , so we're doing the majority of our gift opening then, but since we are Pagan and do celebrate Yule, we decided that this year we'd do one present each on the 21st and the balance (and stockings) on the 25th.

Sammy was thrilled with her five stuffed puppies and fabric puppy house (Lillain Vernon does really cool stuff like that. I would have loved to have done it myself, but couldn't have kept it a secret 'cause I'm still hand-sewing everything and it'd take a while). She's currently sleeping among the puppies. :)

Jeff was very happy with his copy of Office Space and a new red Swingline stapler. He's debating whether he should take it to work or if that would send the wrong message. *Grin*

And me? Well, I got a shiny black Kitchen Aid Mixer! (The silly man was apologizing because he'd only gotten me one thing so far. First, that's silly and second, dude! Mixer! Big shiny mixer!) From Jeff and some of my friends. Thanks, y'all! You're so cool. And he's so cool. And I'm just damn happy. I've wanted one of these for longer than I can remember. It runs beautifully and did I mention the shiny? *grin*

Via Patrick at the Making Light Blog, it seems that the bones of Alistar Cooke were stolen. I'm glad they mentioned it happened before he was cremated...I was wondering.;) My entire reaction to this news was to literally tilt my head and peer at the screen, as if I stared long enough, the words would make sense.

I'm not sure they ever will. Or, in shorter terms, Buh?

Yeah, it's gross and icky and weird and the man had cancer, so selling his bones for "transplant procedures" seems like a really BAD idea. But I keep wondering if, in twenty years, will some eccentric offer millions of dollars for Alistar's bones?
