Samantha is no longer allowed to ask me if I have a headache. 'Cause every time she does, I acquire one a short time afterward. So, it's obviously all her fault.;)

~~~
I'm working on the Valentine's Day cards. Which are going to be late, 'cause I want to get them all done before I send them out. If I don't do it this way, I will be able to convince myself that I've forgotten someone that has actually received a card, and make myself crazy. (And make a lot more work for myself) But, other than that, they're coming along swimmingly. Even if they shouldn't get wet.;)
~~~

I now have a gold plated coffee filter (the metal doesn't add flavor to the coffee, and it'll allllllways be there, so I don't have to use a paper filter each time) and a coffee grinder. (Which will be my third...but I've only seen one part of the other two in the past couple years...and if I do manage to find them, I've got to send one to [livejournal.com profile] popefelix and I can use the other for herbs. And spices.) I'm going to move the coffee maker to the little counter between the fridge and stove and set up a caffeine station there. Then I don't have to worry about forgetting to put the half & half back (not that I've ever done that, heavens no). And that happens to be the cabinet with the cups. So, it's all working out nicely.

I also picked up some silicone bakeware. Rose muffin pans and bundt pan, a butterfly pan and a set of two mini muffin pans. I've wanted shapes for a while, but couldn't decide between cast iron and silicone. The prices at the site where I got the coffee filter swayed my vote. Well, that and, if I drop the silicone stuff on my foot, the cake will break, but my foot should be fine.

Sam and I watched the first half hour or so of the Grammys, but they kind of sucked, so we moved on.

She was a bit confused when the Gorillaz started to play.

"Those are not real, right?"
"Well, what do you think they are?"
"They are in a game?"
"Close. They're animated." and I showed her the black screens, and how the drummer was above them because they couldn't all be projected into the same area and so on.

Then Madonna came out.
"Oh. She is real."
"Well. She used to be."

Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys were cool. But then, it's Stevie.

Company Sues for Right to Use MLB Statistics. How very odd. I didn't know statistics could be owned.

~~~
I've gotten Jeff hooked on Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan books. I love doing things like that. I bought the newest paperback last week and I even let him read it first. Now, if he ever doubts my love for him, he can remember that. *Grin*
~~~

Oh. So that's what a Slipper Chair looks like. They've been mentioned in about a thousand books I've read, but I always thought they were either shaped something like a slipper or upholstered in fabric that would work for slippers as well. Shows what I know.

~~~
I read Sammy the Catwings series, which is simply gorgeous. And now I'm on the lookout for books that are just as sweet (without being sappy). Suggestions always appreciated.
~~~

Oooh. Sippy Cups on the go. This means I may not have to buy Futurebaby sippy cups when we're out 'cause I forgot 'em at home. *Grin*

An air cooled mouse pad. So...your mouse won't burn hys piddies. ;)

I bought V-day presents for Sam and Jeff from Dvd Empire. They've got a deal (that seems to be always-on) where, if one buys three or more items, shipping is free. I'd found two things and was poking around, seeing if I could find a third. I was on the verge of just going "The hell with it" and paying for shipping, but that would have been six dollars and I wasn't buying expensive stuff. So, I browsed through the uber-cheap dvds and found a disc with both Meet John Doe & His Private Secretary for a dollar fifty-five. Which means it was cheaper to buy that than to buy what I'd come there to buy and pay for shipping.

Sometimes, business practices make my head hurt. But hey, Meet John Doe. Good movie. Probably a terrible print, but wadda ya want for roughly seventy-five cents a film?

~~~
Tomorrow's possible adventure? Making my own flour tortillas,'cause I forgot to buy 'em and I've been meaning to try making 'em for a while now. Either that or I'll get caught up in another project, realize Jeff's almost home and we'll end up having fish triangles and french fries. I'm happy with either. Though, I don't remember if Sam thinks she likes fish or not (it doesn't matter if she *actually* likes it...if she doesn't think she likes it, even if I have very clear memories of her having a great time eating said thing, she won't eat it. Unless she does. Thank ghods for peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwiches, yogurt and string cheese), but we've got fresh bread, so she's set either way.
~~~

My head seems to have stopped hurting, so I'm for bed. Night. (or Day, depending on where and when you're reading this.;)
