Sep. 9th, 2006 07:13 amFinished stitching my first Yulmas gift last night. Yay! I also started converting Sammy's Ramones Rock & Roll Preschool shirt into a pillow, 'cause she "loves that shirt and would be very sad if she didn't have it anymore". It's nice to have something to just sew, without having to pay incredibly close attention to each stitch. Relaxing and like that.

Oh cool! Eddie Izzard's going to have a show on American tv.
From the Eddie newsletter:
'Low Life', the drama series that Eddie has been working on for the last eighteen months was given the green light yesterday. FX channel have commissioned thirteen episodes which will air in the US late 2007. Eddie is absolutely thrilled.
I love him *so* very much. How much? So much that I *bought* and watched All the Queen's Men which was a *terrible* movie. Eddie was marvelous though. (He's got to stop doing that...being marvelous in dreck. It only encourages the drekmakers).
Okay. So I wouldn't have bought it if Blockbuster wasn't doing the buy two/get one free deal on previewed dvds and if I'd *seen* it before. Still. I do own it.

I've been so thirsty lately. Not in a "Go see your doctor" kind of way, but in a "Hey, it's cooler now, how come I'm bloody *thirsty*?" way. I'm planning to make a pitcher of tea tomorrow...love non-sweet iced tea with lemon. I'll have to carve out some room in the fridge though.
I think I'll make a peach pie, especially if I can find the recipe I cut out of The Week last year. It was the best I've ever had. And, using up the peaches will let me move enough things around so I can fit the big pitcher into the fridge without constantly worrying about an ocean of tea either in the bottom of the fridge or on the kitchen floor.

I know. I'm totally going to win the most exciting LJ post of the month award.
