Dec. 25th, 2006 02:43 amI did not use up every scrap of wrapping paper in the house. But it was close. I used most of a roll of tape, five and a half hours (though, part of that was Sam and I wrapping things for her dad and my parents, so really four hours of solid wrapping) and *ached* when I got off the bed. But I'm finished. Everything but the Santa presents are wrapped. Of course, some things become Santa presents 'cause they were bulky and I didn't feel like using up that much paper (the Doodle bear), they were messin' up a stack of things I was wrapping together (the funny face and number practice slate thingies...those things that one writes on with a stylus and then lifts up the plastic to make it disappear...no clue as to the actual name) or I found them after I got up and went "Oh, no. Don't fuckin' think so." (the fairy book and a cd she requested).
The stockings are filled, though not yet hung by the windows with care (we don't *have* a chimney) and my back *hates* me, so very much. But, hey. I'm done. And the chance of me gift wrapping something in the near future is slightly worse than Frosty the Snowman's chances of surviving a blast furnace.

My parents get here tomorrow. Yay! They're staying till New Year's eve, 'cause this is time Mikeo can *always* get off from work, so it's easy to schedule. And, since they know about it months ahead of time, Jeff has no problem getting the days off either. Is *so* cool.

Oh, I want to take a moment to give thanks to the deities of parking. We've been getting prime spots over the past few days, and I'm very grateful.

I am *so* tired. I was planning to clean up a bit more, but I don't know if I actually can. But, I need to bring down all the presents and stuff, and the idea of carrying it all down the stairs sucks. Throwing it would probably be a bad idea though. Nappage soon. Very soon.
