Finally acquired Bob Dylan's new album, Modern Times. It's beyond good. Everything a Dylan album should be. I think. I'm on track five right now. *Grin*

I'm trying to write at least once a weekday. I don't know what I think this will accomplish, but I doubt it can hurt. Well, me at least. I kind of feel bad for you, the reader. ;)

On Saturday, we met my parents and kid at War Memorial Park, which is absolutely amazing. There are playgrounds *everywhere*, with lots of benches, picnic tables and new (looking) equipment. And each playground is different...it's not just "swing, slide, wooden climbing thingie". There's nothing *wrong* with "swing, slide, wooden climbing thingie" except that, if that's all you see, it can get bloody boring.

We're planning to go back on Sunday for a picnic (provided by Quiznos...it's so odd...you give 'em money, they give you a picnic!;). There's a porch-type swing that's on top of a hill and looks over one playground with another behind it. Sam has a blast going up and down the hill...I have a heart attack when she tries to run (it's a lumpy hill, not prime running area) but she usually remembers to be careful. And I have band-aids in case she doesn't.

I love that swing...it's so relaxing to swing while keeping an eye on the kid and talking to Jeff. (Mum and Mikeo went back to the hill to rest up from having the child most of the week. Have I mentioned how much I adore the fact that my parents and my kid have a fabulous relationship?) We'll definitely be spending a lot of time there. Maybe not so much when it snows, but then again, maybe we will. We're nuts, after all.;)

Hmm. The site says four playground areas...they must be counting the section with the porch swing and hill together. I can think of six playgrounds...though, one of those may be the miniature golf course. It was the one we didn't get to, and was partially obscured by trees.
