Sammy's famous! Well. Sorta. She had me send one of her drawings into Sprout a few months ago, and they showed it on The Goodnight Show. It was pure luck that we happened to see it...and Sammy didn't even realize that was her picture. Jeff and I said "Sam! That's *yours*!"...and she didn't believe us. Though, really, it was unmistakable. Nobody draws trees and flowers quite like Sam. :) The goodnight show chick and the terrifying star (he's just creepy!) were discussing her drawing and said the flowers were delicate. It was just cool. And Sam was excited, once I reminded her when she'd sent it in and so on.

She and I had a very interesting conversation about pregnancy, birth and the whole thing. We've got a book that has photographs from right before conception to birth. There were also several interesting diagrams. I don't know how much she retained, but she asked a lot of questions and seemed very interested. It all started 'cause we saw a baby giraffe being born. She wondered if that was how *she* was born. So I drew some diagrams and we discussed the different ways a human can give birth. Then we went through the book. We're past sex and fertilization of the egg...I believe we stopped at blastocyst, but we could be a bit farther.

This is my favorite Sheldon comic of all time. Yeah, I'm working my way through the archive...I started reading Sheldon ages ago and got out of the habit. So, instead of trying to remember which year I'd read last, I started at the beginning. I only have five more months to go *Grin*

We had quite the adventure yesterday. We were driving around, looking for nifty houses, when it started snowing, a *lot*. We were on a road with orchards on one side, and it was near white out conditions. At one point, it was hard to believe there was anyone else in the world. Very creepy, but not like...bad creepy. Interesting creepy. And we didn't die or even come close. Which is always good.

It stopped and started snowing several times...but it didn't really add much snow to the area. Though, the mountains may have a different opinion.
~~~
Wow. Apparently, reading the word scrotum in a book will scar a child for life Who knew? I wonder what blastocyst will do!
