My shoulders were killing me when I woke up this morning. This is because the only position I can sleep in that's comfortable and doesn't make me cough...helps me not to cough much...reduces the hacking somewhat is on my side with my pillows scrunched up against the wall. Apparently, I hold them there with my shoulder. I hope the gunk in my lungs has reduced enough so I don't have to do that tonight, 'cause I'm just not old enough to wake up with a new pain every morning.

One of griffen's posts reminded me of something I've wondered.

When an actor plays a GLBT character, why do so many people assume the actor is glbt? Sie is an *actor*...the job is pretending to be other people. When an out actor plays a straight role, do people assume sie is straight now? Just too confusing.

I've always been fond of Bow Wow Wow's I Want Candy but the line "I like candy when it's wrapped in a sweater" always makes me go Ew, 'cause, yes, I know what she *means* but it makes me think of trying to remove a caramel from a cardigan.

I've found that talking makes me cough more...a *lot* more. So, I've been writing notes. The very cool thing is that Sammy can read said notes, for the most part. This makes life a lot easier.

I've started shopping for Sam's birthday, which is at the end of March. She's *very* into Dinosaurs right now, and I need to find her a stuffed Triceratops, which is her favorite. Dino-wise, she's also getting a kid encyclopedia about them and the Dover Dinosaur Activity Kit.

I'm also thinking of getting her a gift card from K'mart. I was going to get it from Toys BackwardR Us, but then *I'd* have to go there. Besides, there's far more variety at K'mart, she doesn't have to get "just" toys unless she actually wants to.

The Hater, at the AV Club was to live-blog the Oscars. But, since she's never live-blogged an event before (though, I assume she's been alive for all her blog posts...), she decided to practice on a Lifetime Movie first. She did a wonderful (and freakin' funny) job.
