Apr. 23rd, 2007 08:31 amThis has been a wonderful weekend. We hung out and didn't do anything stressful. There was sunshine too. I'd heard about that happening on weekends, but was amazed to actually experience it.

Very restless, good weekend or no. I'm trying to figure out why. And someday, I might. :)

jenny_junipurr challenged me to do the rest of the Lj Idol topics with her. So...here goes.
My Favorite LJ User - and why
But...but...I love you all! {/Diana Ross voice}
sammy_grrrl is my favorite Lj user. Because, when I can get her to sit down and do it, I learn so much about my daughter and the way her mind words. She makes up the best stories. After talking for a while, she sort of forgets that she's talking to me and just talks to the journal. So I get to hear what's going on in her mind without the filters. One day, when she's got the whole spelling thing down, I'm going to pass her journal over to her. It'll feel odd to read it from the outside.

I'm going to garden this year. In containers on the porch, so I won't forget them. Not too much at first. Tomatoes, cucumbers, flowers and herbs. Maybe a couple other things, depending on what catches my eye.
Luckily, Sam's too old to harvest my crop early . When I was three or four (young enough that I'm pretty sure I don't remember, I just know from family stories), my best friend Ian and I carefully picked every green tomato on my grandfather's plants and brought them in. So very nice of us. (And, as far as I know, we didn't even get yelled at, just were told *not* to pick anything unless we asked. Either that or I'm blockin' something out. ;)
~~~
We finished watching Stranger Than Fiction which was beautiful and one of those movies I wanted to watch again as soon as I was done. I loved the graphics around him, and all the stuff in the background. It felt like a *world*, not just a movie. Such a good story...definitely one for the buy list.
I asked
darthgeek what else I should put in this journal entry. He said that I should tell you that we're going to bed now. So, we're going to bed now. He'll post this for me in the course of his work-from-home day and maybe even update his own journal. (Yes. That is a hint.) Night all.
