Jun. 27th, 2007 03:29 pmBob Evans, of sausage, farm and restaurant fame died last week. And this is one of those times when I feel slightly bad 'cause I had no idea he was still alive. I'm one up on
darthgeek though, 'cause *he* didn't know the guy actually existed. Thought he was like Betty Crocker or Twinkie the Kid.

When I was little, my grandparents lived next to the Hockers, who had three kids...one of them was my first best friend, Ian. Our backyard fences were low, so we could see each other and we spent loads of time together. I *think* I had blanket permission to go to his yard, and to have him to mine and we only had to ask when we were going in houses. We used to get twinkies from the bread drawer in my Nana's kitchen and go watch The Lone Ranger in the den, sitting on the black and white couch.
That's one of my earliest memories.

I have no idea what I'm making for dinner tonight. I'm pretty sure it'll contain food...that's as far as I've gotten.
~~~
Sam woke me up uber-early 'cause there was a "Spider in her room" which actually turned out to be a cricket. Which, apparently, isn't scary at all, as she's currently playing up there.
~~~
Baby Hippoface!. *Squeee*. There are videos, too.
~~~
Feeling better today, mood-wise. Not fabulous, but closer to happy than grumpy on the mood-chart.
