(no subject)

Hmm...while Neil Gaiman may not read my journal, I think the spammers do. I've stopped getting "Postcards from a family member" and started getting postcards from "school mates", "partners", "neighbors" and "colleagues". Which won't work either. But, at least they're open to change. ;)

I was right. Sam was thrilled to have a copy of Kiki's Delivery Service. I'm pretty sure she had no idea there was a book, so she was doubly pleased.

I feel like baking up a storm. Which may not be the wisest thing to do in mid-summer. The weather has been lovely the past couple days...we have the windows open and nobody's been dyin' from the heat. Having the oven on all day would probably change that. But...I wannnnnnnnnnnnnnna bake! I need to make the peach & raspberry cobbler before the raspberries go, I'd like to make some cookies and I really want to make a batch of pillow bread. I'm also planning on a meatloaf for dinner but, even though it *is* baked, I don't really count that as baking.

I keep coming to the window, hoping there's something else I have to say, and I really don't. Oh well. There's always tomorrow.
