Aug. 7th, 2007 04:43 pmDear Cuba Gooding Jr,
What happened? Did you accidentally buy Paraguay? It's the only reason I can think of for your movie choices. I would say "Of late", but we both know this isn't a new thing. You started out so well...you were fabulous in A Few Good Men, Outbreak, Jerry Maguire, As Good as it Gets and What Dreams May Come. We both know you can act.
So, what's up? Why did you do Chill Factor (a movie I *just* forgave Jeff for making me see in the theatre. Not that he was jumping at the chance to see it, we'd just seen everything else), Snow Dogs, Boat Trip (I mean, really now), Norbit (NORBIT, for fuck's sake!) and Daddy Day Camp? You did other good movies among these...so they're still hiring you for actual acting jobs. I don't know, dude. Might be time for an intervention.
Though, if it is, we won't invite Eddie Murphy.

Next week's letter? Steve Martin.

I'm reading all the Discworld books, in some sort of order (I'm acquiring many as I go, so if it's only a two or three book gap, I go for it). I've read many of them, but never *all* of them. It's wonderful to see the evolution of the characters. *Damn* but Pterry is a good writer.
~~~
Wow, that was impressive. I was writing e-mail and misspelled naiveté *so* badly that the spellchecker had no idea what I was talking about.
~~~
Jeff got his Blackberry...he's so happy with it. It's just plain adorable to watch.

This is one of those ideas that's so good and simple you wonder why it took so long for someone to produce it. It's the Stand Umbrella which has little feet at the tip. When you're done using it, you can stand it up on its own to dry.
