I was listening to Frank Sinatra sing "It Was A Very Good Year" and heard:

o/~It was a very good year for blue-blooded girls
Of independent means
We'd ride in limousines
Their chauffeurs would drive~\o

Wow! Thank you! I was *so* confused by the driving question till you tossed that in there. ;)

Speaking of Music, [livejournal.com profile] jenny_junipurr gave me the choice of D or G for the Music Meme (the one where the responder lists ten favorite songs starting with the chosen letter).

Oh, let's go for broke.

1. Oingo Boingo - Dead or Alive
2. The Pogues - Dirty Old Town
3. Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution
4. Tom Smith - Dragon's Lullaby {Yeah, okay, so it really has an A...what, are you gonna report me to the meme police?} {I love this song dearly. As does Sam. It was one of the songs that helped her sleep when she was a toddler.}
5. The Eagles - Desperado
6. Aerosmith - Deuces are Wild
7. Tom Jones - Delilah {*Fabulous* song to sing along to, including the "Whoa, whoa, whoooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" bit. And, you know, he felt really bad at the end, so it's okay. ;-) Oops...spoiler!}
8. The Beach Boys, The Ramones, Bette Midler - Do You Wanna Dance {I know there are more versions, and I'm pretty sure the Beach Boys weren't the first to do it, but those are the mp3s I've got. I could have sworn it was a Drifters song, but if it is, it isn't in my collection.}
9. Mark Knopfler - Darling Pretty {I love this song, utterly. Though Van Halen had a song on the Twister soundtrack (Humans Being), this was the one I listened to more often. Comfort song...one of those that sings to my soul.}
10. Van Halen - Dance the Night Away

It's very odd, picking songs by the first letter of the title. I think "Oh, what about Name and it turns out I have *nothing* with the designated letters from that artist.

10. HIM - Gone With the Sin
9. Voltaire - Goodnight Demon Slayer {it was a tie between this and God Thinks}
8. Sammy Hagar - Give to Live
7. Tori Amos - Girl {which was one of the songs I sang along with in the shower this morning. See what you get when I try to share more of what's going on in my life ?;}
6. The Monkees - Gonna Buy Me A Dog {Here Rover, Fido,Spot.}
5. The Dresden Dolls - Girl Anachronism
4. The Beatles - Glass Onion
3. Oysterband - Granite Years
2. XTC - Greenman
1. Gaia Consort - Gathering

Hmm...G was more of a challenge than D.

I know that wild animals live in homes specific to their species. I really do.

But, deep down in my brain, I kind of believe that, in the middle of the wood, when people aren't around, the badgers made tea and the weasels bring muffins. That they have fully furnished homes that look remarkably like ours, that they were clothes (though, often not pants) and have entire societies. The societies usually look like something from the eighteen hundreds, but I'm sure there are modern ones too. And toads drive cars, but, of course, shouldn't. (It isn't all from Wind in the Willows, though.)

So, yeah, I know the reality, but wouldn't be all that surprised if the fantasy turned out to be real.

Um...Manga Bible. And no, this isn't a reference work, like the Cake Bible. This is the Christian Bible done in Manga.

Though, I'd probably buy or at least wish-list a Christian Bible illustrated with cake.

Also, right now, the word Bible could not look weirder to me.

I've suspected for a while, but this strip proves it. I *am* Millie.

We use Aussie conditioner and shampoo...have for several years now. A few months ago, we found these *huge* pump bottles in K'mart. They fit perfectly into the shower caddy thingie, and it isn't too high for me to dispense easily.

The thing is, that means we never pick up the bottles. The purple plastic opaque bottles. So, we're out of conditioner. And I have searched this house...the only conditioner we have is Sam's...and I don't *want* to smell like grape juice, thankyouverymuch. I *thought* I'd found some under the sinks, but, for some reason, we have two unopened (regular sized) bottles of Aussie shampoo and no conditioner.

Yeah, we'll get some soon and neither of us will die of snarls, I just found the whole thing amusing.
