*That* was one of the things on my mind! We went to Costco on Saturday afternoon and it was ca-raaaayyyyyyyyyyzeeeeeee. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen it that busy. And they were playing *Christmas Music*. Feh.

But, I was good and didn't break into the knife displays so I could go on a rampage. Though, if they'd had a machete display, things may have played out differently. ;)

We did get Sam's winter coat. It's a size bigger than she currently wears, but still fits very nicely, and I won't have to worry about finding a replacement coat in January. It's a lot like the one I was planning on getting her (in flora), but in black, white and pink, and at a bit less than half that price. Yay bargains!

The Tom Petty documentary was even better than I'd hoped. I'd glance up at the clock, see the time and go "Oh good. {time} left" rather than the "Oh ghods, {time} left." that one might expect when watching a four hour documentary with no breaks.

Jeff only got to see a little, so I'm looking forward to seeing it again one day. :) And I want to talk about it, but don't want to spoil any of the cool parts for anyone else. And as I don't know what other people would consider cool parts, I'll just sit here happily, humming. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] micheinnz reminded me of something [livejournal.com profile] darthgeek and I talked about while watching Fuck.

I can't remember if I found the George Carlin album before seeing him on Saturday Night Live or if I found it *because* I'd seen him. I do remember that he did "A Place for My Stuff" which is one of my favorite bits to this very day.

The album was Class Clown, which included The Seven Dirty Words. And, as Miche mentioned, part of the bit is "There are no bad words. Bad thoughts. Bad Intentions. And words." I heard this at *exactly* the right moment. It entered my ears, made its way to my brain and made a nice home for itself.

From that moment on, I had a deep love for George Carlin, stand-up comedy and words, of all shapes and sizes.

And, Mum? Sorry I sort of stole your George Carlin album...I didn't mean to...but by the time I'd moved out, I'd had it for about twenty years, and didn't think to give it back. I can buy you a cd if you like. :) Also, thanks for *having* the album.

Oh, what else? Sam is being very well behaved today. And she was marvelous yesterday. Probably because she was a hellion on Sunday and a whiny bit of whinyness for a lot of Saturday. So yes, she is on her best behavior to make sure she can go trick-or-treating. And while I wish it was not being a brat for not being a brat's sake, I shall take what I can get.

Who knows? This may just start a streak of good behavior. I can hope...and cross all crossable stuff. And light a candle. And bury a statue of St. Joseph upside down...no, wait, that's to sell something. I don't want to sell her...right now, I don't even want to put her in the front yard, next to a box with a kitten in it and a sign "Free kitten...must take child as well". *Grin*
