Nov. 29th, 2007 02:43 pmDear medium-sized child,
I realize you are hungry. That is one of the main reasons I'm making food. But, I am not making magicgrits pasta and it's going to take exactly as long as it takes for everything to be done.
Look at it this way. At least you'll have a good appetite for lunch.
Love you.

There are times when I'll be doing something like typing or sewing, or braiding my hair, and I'll watch my hands. I find it downright amazing that my hands can do things while the majority of my brain does other things. It's almost magical.
I learned to braid things together so long ago that I can't remember actually learning it. I do remember struggling to learn French Braiding. I finally got it down, with the help of a thingie that was probably once "Seen on TV", but that I bought from Pic-N-Save, nee Big Lots. It was a plastic thing that resembled four wide fingers with foam between them. They held the hair while one moved the strands back and forth. Eventually, I got it down and didn't need the gadget any longer. Now it's another memory my hands can pull out and perform.

Well, the sleep thing went well. I think I may have caught up on all the sleep I ever lost.;) I'll have to watch the rerun of Project Runway, but I won't miss CSI. Pretty much yay all the way around.

Oh cool! The Broadway Stagehands strike is over.

Spam is on the fall! Or, on the rise! Definitely one of the two.

Wow...I didn't know balloon sculptures could be this damn cool
