Who would you put on the list?

I still can't find my black-handled scissors (they're perfect for paper-cutting), but
darthgeek found my camera, so I'm feeling ahead of the game.
*Later* Oooh, Jeff's two for two. He found the scissors in the living room. I don't know why they went traveling, but am glad they came back.

Amazon is buying Audible. Interesting.

We were at Costo on Saturday, and they had paperback copies of David McCullough's biography of John Adams, but they had a black and white photograph of Paul Giamatti, dressed as John on them. Which is logical, as he's starring in a mini-series about the man.
But it was also remarkably jarring. For two reasons. One, that *isn't* Mr. Adams...I know that guy, and he's a great actor, and he may well be obnoxious *and* disliked, but he's not actually John Adams. And b, last time I checked, photography didn't really get going till the 1800s.
So...yeah. I'm glad they're promoting the series (It starts on March 16th on HBO) but I question the method.
At least it was just the book with a new cover, not a novelization of the movie based on the script that's rather like the book.

While we were there, I did pick up a wide-screen version of Stardust. Which was hard to find (and not only 'cause they'd moved it to the top tier, so I had to stand on tip-toe to read the tops of the dvd cases)...there were only a couple among a swarm of full-screens. So, I don't feel quite so dumb about buying f-s originally.

How amazing is this? Works of art made from one sheet of paper.
I thought I'd posted it before, but scrolled down and was quite sure I'd never seen these. So, yay. New art.:)

Oh cool. The AV Club has an interview with John Cleese. Makes a nice set when read along with the TV Guide interview I posted about on Tuesday. *Grin*
~~~
Oooooohhhh. This American Life has a Youtube Channel.
Ira Glass is my secret boyfriend. He speaks to me in the night, you know. Yes, the eps of TAL I burned to disc *do* help. I don't see your point.
I really like this article by Steve Martin about humor.
~~~
A knitted house. Everything from the flowers in the garden to the teapot to the table it stands on. Not to mention the *house* itself.
I think the broom may be my favorite bit (third pic from the bottom).

Oh blast. I didn't mean to be up this late. Oh well, I have lots of coffee. I should survive the day. But, sleeping now would probably be good.
