How very cool. Researchers have uncovered a rare photograph of a young Helen Keller with her teacher Anne Sullivan, nearly 120 years after it was taken on Cape Cod and tucked inside a family album. It's a lovely picture, too.

So, I lost Paintshop Pro. As in, I can't currently find it on my computer. I'm pretty sure I would have remembered unistalling it, but it doesn't seem to be around. So, I poked about to see what else I could find, and miraculously hit the jackpot on my first try.

Photoscape is free photo editing software that does pretty much everything I want it to do without being huge or slow or annoying. Okay, I do wish there was a way to tell it to just save the edited images rather than saving the edited images and putting the original image in another folder. But I'm pretty sure that's going to save my butt one of these days, so I can't get too grumpy about it.

Oh, granniechuckie, before I forget again, Sammy did get the thingie from Medieval Times. She has it in a place of honor in her room.:)

I can't think of anything else. Allergies are better but still not gone, so I've set the child up with breakfast, entertainment and even a bit of schoolwork (no! Yes!) and am going to try for something of a nap. Who knows...it might even work.

Five. Jeff gets home tomorrow evening. I'm not sure I could be more pleased. This week has been long. I try very hard not to speed or wish my life along...but I was so sorely tempted this time.
