myschyf: (Sleepy Bugs)
I have been feeling disconnected for the past few days. I'm not sure what's causing it. Once I figured out what it was, I didn't like it one bit. And of course I'm fighting against it, but since it took me a while to notice it, I don't know how successful that will be.

~~~
Last night, the 'net went away. Sort of. Jeff was knocked off of IM, but I wasn't (which was slightly inconvenient as I was asking him a question at the time, but would have been more inconvenient if he hadn't been in the living room), both AdventureQuest and Dragonfable were fine, but Fallen Sword wasn't. LJ was good, but we couldn't get to flambe at all. Once I found out that we could do some stuff and not others, it became something of a game and I poked around to see what I could see. Then I got bored and we went to bed. *grin*
Everything seems to be working fine today.
~~~

Honest to Ghu, I was rereading the chapter in Cheaper by the Dozen where Mr. Gilbreth was going to go on the date with Anne and the cheerleader in the pork-pie hat just before I came downstairs today. And [livejournal.com profile] boingboing_net is kind enough to show me this. Serendipity, I tell ya.

Oh wow. It is absolutely gorgeous today. *Finally*, after something like a week of gray and gloomy. But today is seventy and sunny. We've got the windows open and it's glorious. *gives a hip-hip-hooray for lovely weather*

Woo! The van is finally fixed. The mechanic down the street is good, but doesn't keep in touch very well. But, on the good side, we don't have to pay for the repairs. On the bad side, if they'd fixed the transmission completely the first time, none of us would be dealing with this.

That's all water under the bridge and such though, 'cause it's finally done and we get it *Back* now. No more rented cars. Yay.:) (I am thankful we can afford to rent cars, but I prefer ours. Especially since I'm always a bit worried that I'm going to spill something or other in the rented car and they'll charge us the price of the car to clean it. Which isn't rational, but I don't think I claimed to be rational.)
