fabricdragon, the very wowness of CD covers reproduced in Bento Boxes. Well, they're not really bento boxes....they're one compartment thingies that look like sandwich boxes. But the *Idea* is what counts here. And the wow.

Dear US Commission on Fine Arts,
Screw you. You think the statue of Dr. King is too confrontational? And what, exactly, do you think the man did? He didn't wait politely to be given equal rights. He *confronted* people and demanded them. If you can't reconcile that with a monument to him, perhaps you're not the right people to be involved with this project.
Sincerely and confrontationally,
Me

Mother's Day was very nice. Sammy was very, *very* into the idea of getting me flowers, so she and Jeff picked up a lovely bouquet when we were at Costco. Small pink, white, red and yellow carnations. I like them *so* much.:) I also got a gift card to AC Moore (craft store) and there's an Indiana Jones lego kit on the way.
Why? Because Sammy saw it in a catalog and decided I needed it badly. And I discovered that what my Nan and Mum have been telling me my whole life is true. "If you pick it out for me, I'll like it"...I always figured they said that 'cause they loved me (well, yeah), but they were also right. Cool.:)

We watched Cranford last night ( Read more... )

I got the three books in the Mary Russell series I was waiting for. There's a fourth as well, but I expect to buy it, as it's probably too new to get it from Paperbackswap in a timely manner. I also found my copy of Spindle's End which pleased me immensely, as I'd forgotten exactly how much I liked it. No more book crisis for me.
At least till I finish these. *grin*
