Whoa. It's a picture of Pete Seeger singing for Eleanor Roosevelt (among others) on Valentine's Day in 1944.

~~~
Yay! George Takei and his SO of over twenty-one years, Brad Altman are getting married.
All the people who want to get married *should*. And all the people who don't want to get married *shouldn't*. And if you want to live together and not be married, go for it. I fully endorse consenting adults doing whatever the hell they want in their relationships, as long as everyone *in* the relationship/s is/are on board. I also think that people shouldn't have to get married to get insurance or save money or any of the thousand things that legal marriage gets you in the US. But that, as they say, is another rant.
Via [livejournal.com profile] ldymusyc, an amazingly valuable resource. SplenAd will tell you who was singing and which song it was in that ad you've always wondered about.
And [livejournal.com profile] kshandra made the [livejournal.com profile] splend_ad syndicated feed. 'Cause she's just that cool. :)
Need a new shirt? Jinx has one that's made with legendary thread. *grin*
Science isn’t marketed through public relations firms, nor does it try to manipulate or scare you. Yes, this.
The Name Generator. Very useful for me. When it comes to fiction, I'm crap at picking names.
This might be my favorite entry at [livejournal.com profile] passaggnote so far. Be sure to read to the bottom.
Coffee tables, now with added fire. Interesting idea. Not necessarily a *good* idea, but definitely interesting. And you'd never have to worry about the coffee getting cold.
~~~

Cranford? Was amazing and fabulous right to the end. Definitely buying the dvd.

Working on establishing a new sleep pattern. I'm sure tomorrow's wake-up will suck less than today's.
