Jun. 24th, 2008 02:36 pmTasha Tudor died this weekend. She was amazing...and you can't say she didn't have a good run. Now my need to acquire her books is hightened.
I'm not sure why. The books haven't changed, after all.

I noticed that one of my nails had one of those weird chips in it (in the nail itself, I'm not currently wearing polish) so I pulled out my Leatherman to file it. Then I noticed my Leatherman had a couple black smudges on the smoother side of the file, and pulled an emory board out of my pen bukkit to get rid of those.
Of course, I put the emory boards there so they'd be nearby when I needed to file a nail or two...
~~~
Yesterday, I packed seven boxes, threw away a lot of stuff, added a good bunch of stuff to the Goodwill pile and barely managed to *not* pack both my camera and The Long Winter, the current reading book.
~~~
I'm enjoying the hell out of Fine Lines at Jezebel.
Welcome to 'Fine Lines', the Friday feature in which we give a sentimental, sometimes-critical, far more wizened look at the children's and YA books we loved in our youth.
Also, I'm very glad I Am The Cheese was mentioned (in the entry for The Chocolate War), because I'm pretty sure that was the first book I ever finished and went "What the *hell* was that?!" and I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
~~~
Season One of Buffy, she is gone. But hey, I might find other weird stuff in the move...stay tuned. *Grin*
~~~
I woke up with a sore throat. This does not please me. Apparently, my throat has no idea that it's almost July.
