Oct. 27th, 2008 11:54 amSam's interested in Egypt, so I was poking around PaperbackSwap, to see what was around (found a couple of books that look good. If they suck, I'll mention it here).
When ordering a book from there, you can order "just" that book or you can look at the person's shelf and see if there are any others you'd like. I was looking at someone's shelf and saw a book called something like "The complete idiot's guide to {something}, teen edition".
I though "Wow, great way to get teenagers to read stuff, by calling them idiots." And then I wondered if the ultimate idiot's guide existed...and it does.
The Complete Idiot's Guide to Enhancing Self-Esteem.

Ah, we're up to the point in the year when the sky makes it look like four o'clock all bloody day. Yippee. :p

Sinus headache seems to be mostly gone. Gonna go see if a short nap is in my future. Sam endorses this idea, as she'll be allowed to take her laptop into her room and play (non-internet) games while I slumber. :)
