There are a million or so reasons why I love science. The possibilty of Neptune having seas of liquid diamond, with solid diamond "icebergs" is one of them.

The detail in this picture is wonderful. I'm having a great time looking at all the details in the building and the people.

Huge news for sci-fi fans: Fox is developing a stateside version of the U.K. hit series “Torchwood”. Oh yeah. *THAT'S* a great idea! *facepalm* (The otter was right!)

Sammy was barfy and sick on Monday. Poor little thing was just a limp pile of child most of the day. She got a lot of good sleep and has been feeling much better since. Yay.:)
~~~
I was showing the baby a video I took of her, and said "Who's that?" She pointed, and then a moment later said "Charlie!". That was so cool.
Unusual behaviors have been observed in wild chimpanzees in West Africa in the face of grass fires. The chimps did not panic or flee, and some made ritualistic displays that suggest they understand fire and do not fear it, and they may even be able to control it. Since chimpanzees are the nearest relatives to humans, the observations may shed some light on how our early ancestors harnessed fire.
I have a headache that feels like someone donked me on the head with a huge mallet, ala Looney Tunes. I don't recommend it.
