Flower Power lets you draw with flowers. It's a fun little diversion. :)

It's a cool bottle, but I think I'd be more inclined to consume what was in it if the cork were in the *snout* of the pig, not the other end....

One Bit Symphony. The idea enchants me.

I spent the majority of Monday on the couch with a heating pad on the left side of my face, 'cause my sinuses thought it'd be a good time to explode. Spend most of *Tuesday* sleeping off the exhaustion from Monday. Which was the same day I got my period. My body is conspiring against me, I swear. ;)

~~~
We did a goodwill run last week, 'cause Charlie's at the age where she'll take off her diaper if she isn't wearing something over it, but isn't quite at the age where she's ready for potty training. So, we went looking for pants. Found lots of lovely things that will take her through the end of summer and into winter with no problem. Shall have to get fuzzy sleepers and more long sleeved things in a couple months (plus a new snowsuit), but she's good for now. And we found her H'ween costume! I *thought* it was an Eeyore costume, but it turns out to be a Stitch costume (with only four limbs and no blaster :). It's from the Disney Store and damned near new (for six bucks). The only complaint I had was the lack of identification on the tag. IIRC, the tags on the stuffed animals the girls have that are from the Disney store tell you what they are, but the costumes don't? That's such a weird place to stop the labeling.
People who are moving to Dreamwidth, if you haven't already, please consider crossposting, with comments on or off. I have a login there, so I can comment, but I don't have enough time to read both sites and be productive in other areas of my life. And, if you're on my reading list, I would/will miss you if I don't get to read you any longer.
I loved the typography version, but I like the live action version of Cee-Lo's "Fuck You" even more (since that's the actual title, the odds of it being worksafe are diddly/squat).
~~~

Oooh, I found this video library of embroidery stitches when I was looking for the name of the stitch I'm doing on Coraline's Seeing Stone for Sam's Halloween bag. So I can say "I really regret deciding to use the buttonhole stitch for the entire thing. I wish I had done the circle in buttonhole and then gone around the outer edge with either a back or stem stitch". Oh, it *looks* really nice but it's about five zillion extra stitches.

The holes on the key will be buttonhole, but I will just outline the rest of the key with the silver thread.

Don't you just love how it seems like someone else is making me do this? The stitching mob isn't here with a gun to my head...they're probably too far behind on their projects to do that sort of thing. *grin*

I love sewing and Sam loves that I'm doing this. So, even though I regret the stitch I chose, I'm very glad that I get the chance to make this bag for her.
