(no subject)

Got my snazzy ergonomic keyboard. I think it's going to do me worlds of good. I was worried that I'd have a hard time with it, but the only major problem is the letter B. Apparently, one is supposed to hit it with the left hand and I've always hit it with the right. But, as long as I don't decide to tell the tale of Bertram, the battling bison, I suppose I'll be okay. :)

I can't remember what's supposed to come next.

I used to be very good at remembering where places were. Then I moved, a *lot*. And now I know where three Toys-R-Us stores are...none of them are around here...but if you get me to the right city, I can tell you were to go.

We're heading for Toys-R-Us 'cause we'd like to get Sammy a racecar bed, but the only place I've seen them, live and in person, was TRU. They *used* to have them at K'mart, but only have them online now, and I'd rather not pay a hundred dollars for delivery. There's no guarantee that they'll have the beds, 'cause it has been several years, but I'm hoping.

I did find out that when the kid says she wants a {fitb} bed, she means the *sheets*, not the bed itself. Which does make my job a little easier if the racecar bed can't be found.

~~~
We're baaa-ack! And while they did have racecar beds, they only had them in toddler size. So, she's not getting one. We explained things to her and she's surprisingly okay with not having one. Big relief there.
~~~

It was so hard for me to not snark at the guy who was checking us out at TRS...I'm sure he's a very nice guy...puppies are safe around him and everything. But, he and a friend were talking about getting lunch, and he asked if they had sushi at the new Chinese place in the food court. I managed to get outside before I let my snark fly free. I'm such a good little wench. ;)

Though we didn't get to do 2/3 of what we'd planned to do, and Sammy had a brat explosion as we were going into Target (so, we turned around and left), it was a really nice day. We got to hang out together and we saw some nifty stuff and it was a beautiful day. So, no serious complaints here. :)

I'd have let the snark fly thick and fast, like his ignorance.

In his defense, I think many Chinese Buffet restaurants are serving Sushi now. (At least, they do here.) It's the "in" thing. I prefer the local Korean place's Kim Bop, but only because there is no meat in it at all, and when I order it, I don't end up with a side of Kim Chee that I don't want. :)

I haven't seen a racecar bed in YEARS, so I'm glad she was okay with sheets. :)

Brat explosion...*laughing* So descriptive in so few words.

brat explosion LMAO!

Gessi, I ditto Kat's comment!

Do you mean "toddler-size" bed to mean Twin, or crib-sized?

If the latter, would a Twin-sized racecar bed work? If so, then here. :-)

Yeah, that's exactly what we wanted to get her. Note the $100 oversize ship charge....
