Ah, she is a strange child.
Jeff's working late tonight and I asked what she'd like for dinner.
"Um...do we have potatoes?"
"Yes, we have potatoes."
"I would like mashed potatoes."
"Just mashed potatoes?" (Note, I have no problem with this, as mashed potatoes are a favorite food of mine. But she needs to be asked multiple times when it comes to questions like this.)
"Um. And mixed vegetables."
"Okay, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Is that all?"
"Ummm. Oh, and macaroni and cheese. Just in case."
"Just in case what?"
*thinks for a couple minutes* "Just in case!"
She added "Oh, and chicken of course" a few minutes later. We negotiated and are having mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, applesauce, corn muffins and chicken. Of course. *grin*
The mixed vegetables are because I bought a can for soup (to add to, not thinking it was) and she's just been fascinated by the idea that there's more than one veggie in the can. I haven't told her they all kind of taste the same...better she find out for herself.
