Ooooohhh! Annie Lennox has a new album coming out at the beginning of October.

When I was about ten, we moved from the sticks to the suburbs. Around the same time, music videos were becoming huge. And I was allowed to stay up late on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday Night Videos became something of a sacrament. The idea of not watching was just silly.

And that was where I first saw the Eurythmics. Now, I'm not saying Annie was my first girl-crush. But she was the first that made me...sit up and take notice. It'd be a number of years till I actually realized my bisexuality, but she definitely helped me prop the door open a bit more.

That, coupled with her flat out amazing voice is making me count the days till the cd drops. :)

There are supposed to be thunderstorms coming up this week, which will cool things off considerably. That would be *nice*.

Watching Annie and Aretha singing "Sisters (Are Doing it For Themselves)" made me realize that my big wide butt could still stop traffic (and not in a OMGWTF sort of way).
