(no subject)

I am in a terrible mood, and I honestly don't know why.

I'm working on *not* being in a terrible mood.

Big, big cheaterheads! Yes, Jerrell's dress was kind of icky. *BUT* he shouldn't have had to compete in this challenge at all. He won the last challenge, and though he did agree to compete for a place at Bryant Park, they shouldn't have asked. (Also, it's really "agree", because what was he supposed to do? Declining would have been the same as bowing out of the show.) He should have had a guaranteed place and the other three should have been competing.

I did love Tim going to see the designers. But that's 'cause it was Tim. :)

CSI season premiere tonight. Woo.

Well, that's creepy. a computer program developed at Tel Aviv University that changes the geometry of faces in photographs to make them more beautiful

And, once again, I'm weird. 'Cause I find the image on the right more beautiful (I hate that phrasing, and would prefer "more attractive", but I'm using their terms here) and absolutely more interesting.

*Edit* Oy, I honestly can't believe I did that. I actually double-checked at the link too. But, anyway, I *meant* to say "I find the image on the left more beautiful"etc.

I preferred the image that was on the left, I think when they ran her picture through the machine they took her two best features, her eyes and her mouth, and made them just dull and actually smaller (which seems odd).

"make more beautiful" = "make more white-looking/less ethnic-looking"

It seems somehow fitting that yesterday I watched the classic Twilight Zone episode, "Eye of the Beholder" (also known as "A Private World of Darkness").

Yep.

Didn't it seem odd that the person who won the more individual competitions would be eliminated in the 'gown off'? Although, I have to admit he did prove our earlier discussion about if Tim tells you something is hinky you'd better re-think it. In previous challenges Jerrel was good about hearing what Tim was saying - but he sorta became deaf regarding his wedding gown with the popping sparkle boob-window. Tim did tell him right out in no uncertain terms that the 'flapping wings' on the bodice troubled him. What a shame, cuz I like his designs.

Did not care for the 'schwan' lake wedding dress. Yes, it was constructed flawlessly (is that word?) but really. . .feathas?

Did you mean the one on the left? The one on the right was the altered one...

And more beautiful by WHOSE standards??? Bah! People suck!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the altered photo didn't hit the uncanny valley.

I found the altered photo more attractive at first, but I don't like long faces. I *do* like the original eyes a lot better, though.

Um, the one on the right is the "beautified" one.

I like the original face the best.

Would it cheer you up to know that I'm looking at the yule presents for you and Sammi right this very second?

I'm gonna need your snail mail, BTW....
