So, they put the baby in the ambulance, started down the road and then, a while later, came back because the ambulance was "having mechanical problems". So, they're gonna try again tomorrow.

But, at least they let her out of the hospital. I wasn't fully expecting them to, y'know?

Once,I was chatting with a woman who's daughter was in the hospital as well. And she said "Oh, your second child. She must be the easy one". I did good...didn't fall over laughing hysterically or *anything*. Just explained that neither of my kids could be called easy, Charlie least of all.

Wouldn't trade a day for anything, of course. But it's become a saying around here. "Oh no, Charlie's the easy one" and variations thereof.

Thank goodness I've never expected easy from my offspring. :)

Oh gee, that's just a tease - I suppose it's better to turn back when the ambulance isn't driving right but holy cow this just stretches things out that much further.

*hugs* & good thoughts for all of you!

Heh. Around here, when Tif does something odd, it's "And he's the *normal* one"

What a pita... I'd say the older ones are the easiest, cause they lull you into a false sense of security.. until the next one comes along ;)

oh honey! Sorry you had to experience a false sort of this sort. The fact that she got into the ambulance, though, means the odds are good, no? I am hoping the best for all of you and hope that your baby comes home soon.(((hugs)))

Oh ferchryssakes! Couldn't they just have found ANOTHER ambulance? They must have more than one... (I am being annoyed on your behalf, so you can remain calm. Just a small service I provide, mom-to-mom.)

You are handling all of this with such grace. I have been reading and getting so frustrated with the situation. I cannot wait to read that Charlie is back home where she belongs!

"Oh, your second child. She must be the easy one"

What a ridiculous for thing for anyone to assume. I've seen plenty of families were the 2nd, 3rd, 4th child are the hard ones! I have a neighbor whose 6 yo daughter was easy-peasy, but is at her wit's end with her 2 yo son. She says that if she'd had him first, she would have been done having kids! :P.
