We were planning on seeing the Lorax. But, we're not going to, for two reasons.

One, it's supposed to *suck*. Like, Live action Cat in the Hat suck, not live action Grinch suck.

And two? Because now, the Lorax speaks for the cars. Seriously? *SERIOUSLY*? What the *actual* fuck? Did anyone *read* the book? Augh!

So, we're going to watch the Lorax short and be happy. We're also not buyin' a Mazda anytime soon. Not like we were planning to, but still.

Oh god, I have been flailing and complaining about the Lorax since I saw the first trailer. That was my favorite Seuss book when I was a youngling, and from the trailers alone it looks like they've completely destroyed the message. FIRST OF ALL, YOU NEVER SEE THE LORAX. *froth*

But, but, but I *love* my teeny little Mazda Miata. It is my most favorite car of all the cars I've ever owned. It is like driving a matchbox car. It is so small that I often can;t even see it inthe parking lot - it gets lost behind (almost beneath some) SUVs and trucks.

As I understand it, they actually mock Dr. Seuss in the movie. As in the quote, "And the touch of their tufts was much softer than silk, and they had the sweet smell of fresh butterfly milk." Then the two characters say, "What does that even mean?" "I know, right?"

Thou shalt not mock the Seuss. I am boycotting.

In Mazda's defense, someone else came up with the idea, and someone in the Geisel estate made it possible. Also, the new Mazdas are incredibly fuel efficient and low in emissions, so at least if someone in Seussland was going to completely ignore what The Lorax was all about, they chose a decent manufacturer to work with. I dig what you're saying, though.
