Oh. Bye, Ray Bradbury.

He had a great run. But I'm gonna miss him something awful.

I met him once, at the grand opening of the original Mysterious Galaxy. I went *to* meet him. He was so kind...and when we went to my grandparents later that day, my Boompa was happy to gaze at my signed book and listen to the probably boring story about standing in a line, asking Mr. Bradbury how he was (he was fine) and watching him sign it.

My favorite of all his stories is I Sing the Body Electric. It's one of my favorite stories, period.

I thought of you & that day when I heard the news this morning. Mr. Bradbury was very gracious that afternoon. I'm guessing he was probably a gracious man all the time - but that day was the only time I was there to see it for myself.

He was, usually, a kind and gracious man. I'll miss his writing.
