I hadn't downloaded the new version of LochJournal, 'cause clicking on the "Yes, download it already and stop bothering me everytime I start this fucking thing!" button causes IE to open...and I have a deep and abiding hate for IE. (Who names software after the sound you make plummeting of a cliff? Aieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I mean, really now.) But, today I got tired enough of the little box to find the page in Opera and go download the new version.

Dude! Its not *completely* new, but there are things like *spellcheck* (I'm sure you're all glad I have that again. *grin*), the ability to edit old posts, everyone's birthdays, right there on the status page and...*AND* it opens things in your default browser, rather than Aieeeeee. I haven't tried to break it yet, so I can't give it to definitive thumbs up, but its still really cool.:)

Now if only it had a box for current reading material as well as current music...that'd be cool.:) (ATM, The Life Of Elizabeth I by Alison Weir in hard copy and Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey txtly speaking.)
