Samantha is doing *much* better today. Sill a bit warm, but it *is* a warm day. I'd say that she definitely beat this virus. Which means I've the chance to finish and post the entry I've been working on since Monday.

~~~
We were gone pretty much the whole weekend...and had a great and relaxing time. Yay.:)
Friday, we finally made it to the movies. First up was The Pacifier, which wasn't nearly as horrible as I expected. Then again, if it *had* been as horrible as I had expected, it would have made Devil Dog, Hound of Hell look like The Philadelphia Story, but that's really neither here nor there. It was funny and Sammy liked a lot of it. Which, from the commercials, was all that could be expected.
Then HHGTTG. I read the books when I was ten or so, played the video game (never could get that damn fish into my ear) and have seen the BBC version. So, yeah, this was the one I was looking forward to. And it lived up to damn near all my expectations. I will be seeing it again and we'll be buying the dvd as soon as it's available. I really hope they don't screw up the sequels.
I know, the movie didn't exactly stick to the books in every area, but that didn't exactly surprise me.
The nicest thing was, the movie was the same size as the book. They didn't try to make it bigger...I was worried about that. Because HHGTTG wasn't a huge book. Oh, it was massive in many lives, but it wasn't an epic and a movie that tried to make it one would have destroyed everything I'd hoped it would be.
The last movie was Constantine which wasn't too bad if one forgot absolutely everything one knew about Hellblazer.
Saturday and Sunday were spent hanging out together and generally having fun. We got Sammy some much needed shorts and decided to move. We're going to stay in the general area, but would *really* like a house or at least a duplex. The townhouse is really nice, but we've been ready for a change for a while now.
This means no traveling for a while. Oh, we'll still do day trips and such, but Sesame Place isn't going to happen in June and I doubt we'll get out to California this summer. But, since kiddo's being homeschooled, it shouldn't be too difficult to reschedule groups and such for a vacation. I guess September is family together time for us. (This is me being all bright side looking and not sad about how much I miss my mom. I've almost got myself completley fooled.;)
~~~

Damn that's cool! It's the Newseum's Front pages. They're from four hundred and twenty papers in forty-five countries.

~~~
More later. My allergies noticed I wasn't sneezing. And while I can type through damn near anything, typing while in mid-sneeze makes more typos than even I can handle.
Whoa! The models from Disneyland are being auctioned off on e-bay. They've got the models for the House of the Future, Carousel of Progress and Space Mountain, which isn't up to eight bazzillion dollars as I expected.
