I'm wistful. I've thought about it, and I'm not actually wistful *for* anything. Just...wistful.

Weird.

~~~
Sammy and I saw the new trailer for Charlie & The Chocolate Factory last night. It looks *So* good. Even if it isn't as freaky as the last trailer. And they brought back the squirrels (which were replaced by geese in the seventies movie, but were squirrels in the book. I'm not really sure why they changed it in the first place. Maybe they thought people would be confused by "She was a bad nut"? Anyway. Squirrels are back. Yay.)
~~~

Seekrit message to my mum.

I'm not deadinnaditch or anything. I guess being full of wist makes it difficult to write. ;) I'll be working on a letter quite soon.

~~~
Also saw another trailer for Madagascar, which we've been looking forward to since seeing a trailer when we went to see the Incredibles. So, quite a while. It looks like it'll be Shrek quality, story-wise, rather than Shark Tale quality. Which is a damn good thing. 'Cause I bought Shark Tale on Pay-Per-View for Sammy a bit ago. It had potential, but never really got off the ground. Which sucks, especially given all the work that went into it.
Hmm...now that I think about it, we bought The Cat In The Hat on PPV as well. Maybe I shouldn't do that any longer...everything I get that way seems to suck! ;)
~~~

Did very little this weekend...hanging out together and having fun, but nothing to write about. I *did* convince Sam that, when she's being a major brat for no good reason, having a "little nap" is a very good move that helps immensely. (I started saying "a short nap" and she changed it to "little nap", which is better than "Nap so that you'll stop *arguing* with me for five seconds and I won't feel like packing a bag and thumbing a ride *ANYWHERE* but here!") We'll see if she remembers this the next time the queen of all that's bratty appears.

~~~
It's kind of driving me crazy, not being able to look for a new place to live. We're moving out at the end of July...and there are very few places that are available then, now. So, I'm trying very hard to focus on the house we *want*, doing the whole visualizing thing and discussing with Jeff the things that we *neeed* and the ones we can leave by the wayside if necessary.
I tried asking Sammy what she wanted, but she's not completely clear on the concept. She said she wanted to bring her toys. I agreed that this was quite a good idea.*grin*
~~~

There seems to be more happiness than angst on my friends list lately. YAY! I love it when the people I like are joyful.:)

~~~
A short list of things I have that you probably don't:
A car made of beer cans (up on a high shelf, 'cause it has very little *but* sharp edges. I do this not so much to protect Sam as to protect myself. I'm a klutz, after all.:)
A medium-sized stuffed bunny sewn into a purple basket (or hat...I'm pretty sure it's a basket though). It was my Mother's Day present from Sammy...she picked it out all by herself. Which is so damn cool.:)
A Tigger bobblehead (What? No comments here...it's a Tigger bobblehead...what else is there to say?;)
~~~

The list was going to be longer, then I looked around the room at all my weird-ass shit, thought about the people who'd be reading this and realized that the fabric Death scroll (Neil Gamian's version), Ani DiFranco poster, Jack Skellington stuffed doll, Sandman calendar, Mama calendar and so on probably aren't all that unique among y'all. And I'm not even gonna mention the books, music or movies. 'Cause I do know my audience. *grin*

~~~
Y'know, Barry's been singing with his fans for years ;) I hope someone recorded the event for her...it's probably something of a blur in her memory.
~~~

Free Dr. Who E-books with new artwork & notes from the original authors. How cool is that?

~~~
Oooh. A Pro-filesharing seal for artists who are okay with people sharing their stuff. Useful.
~~~

A transcript of an interview with David Crosby on Frontline. Beyond the niftiness that is Mr. Crosby, he's got some dead interesting stuff to say about the music industry.

Hmm. After one is done writing, clicking the "post" button is usually the next thing one should do. It saves so much worry about why something hasn't posted.
