Got spam today offering me "General kisses". Now, I may not have the highest self-esteem on the planet, but that's where I draw the line, dammit. I want specific kisses!

~~~
We watched The Wild tonight. Dear ghods it was terrible. I mean really terrible. Not just because it felt like a huge rip-off of Madagascar either. Oh no. It was terrible all on it's own. There was just no there there. It wasn't very witty (the first scene with the chameleons was great, as was the scene with the sewer alligators. That's about it.), it didn't have much heart and the suspense was suspended.
The main problem is, you get glimpses. You can see how good it *could* have been. Eddie Izzard's koala is fabulous. They got really close to good a number of times, then veered right back into terrible territory. And, I hate to say it, because I love the guy, but Richard Kind's snake was just frickin' annoying most of the time.
We watched Beauty & The Beast afterward, to get the bad taste out of our mouths. *grin*
~~~

I had more, but I think I'm falling asleep. If I weren't so sleepy, I'd be sure. Night, all. (Yes, even to those of you who are reading this during the day.)

Jeff usually does the bulk of his commute to work on the train. He's got about two hours there and two hours back to occupy himself. Which means he's got ample time to read now...even if the morning hours are often taken up with sleeping (And since his stop is the last stop, either way, he doesn't have to worry about waking up in Peru or something.) (What? There's got to be a city called Peru somewhere in the US). So, I've been introducing him to the books and series I find interesting. It's been about a year now, and when he finished Soul Kitchen(which was *fabulous*, btw. I can't recommend the Liquor series highly enough), he found himself caught up on all the series he's currently reading.

He was bemoaning this fact last night. I looked at him and said "Welcome to my world!" While before he understood why I was happy and bouncy about the new {fitb} book, now he Understands.

This makes me happy. Especially since I've actually caught him between books when I've a moment to think, and can pull the first of the Thursday Next novels out for him.
