This is a bloody cool way to use up all the greeting cards one acquires. I'm printing out the directions and patterns now, and will report back (one day in the near future) on the ease or difficulty of the craft.

One of the lyrics of La Vie Boheme, from Rent, is:

"For being an us, for once. Instead of a them"

That's the one line in the entire musical that hits me the hardest. It resonates. Because I refuse to go back to hiding much of who and what I am, but being a permanent outsider can be difficult at times (And while I see us here and there, freaks like me aren't thick on the ground in this Eastern West Virginia burg).

I think this is one of the main reasons we're here (at LJ) and why we sought out the places we were before we stumbled through these virtual gates. Even if we didn't consciously know it. And I know that's why I'm here and why I feel so lucky to have all of you in my life.

~~~
Oh, well that'll change plans. The storage place is repaving their streets as well as putting in new gates. There won't be access till Sunday at the earliest. So, we won't get our stuff till next weekend. Oh well. It's been four years...one more week should be okay. And I get Jeff all day tomorrow. So...it's okay. (I'm not what one would call good with sudden change). We'll still have the table (and my big ol' microwave and my books and my pie plates and and and) in time for Yulemas with my Mum and Mikeo. :)
~~~

Now is time on Sprockets when we read with Sammy. Happy T'giving to them that wants one, and happy Thursday to them that don't.
