What a weird weekend. Went upstairs for a nap on Saturday and threw up. Before, not during. And I hadn't thrown up in a couple years. Then, got up on Sunday, made a couple menstrual pads (and decided washcloths are simpler to cut than the cheap towels I was going to buy as filler), got the family together and got us out the door to Goodwill, then we started for Trader Joe's. We turned back after about twenty minutes, 'cause I was feeling like I was gonna die. Pulled over on the way back and I barfed again. Then we went home (after assuring Sam that I was okay. Or at least feeling *very* much better) and I slept pretty much the rest of the day. Got up around seven this morning, talked to Jeff while he got ready for work (he drove in, so he didn't have to leave at five something) and felt queasy again. I've eaten and so far, so good. But, I threw up both times between one and three in the afternoon. I wonder if I'm allergic to that time.;)

I just hope I'm done being weirdly sick. Fingers crossed and all that.

Oh, and i'm definitively (and unfortunately) not pregnant. Oh well, it'd suck to be pregnant while throwing up anyway.;-)

This is the last Monday Jeff has to go to work for a while. His boss is having him work from home on Mondays and Fridays, so his weekly commute isn't so insane. He will have to do a full week sometime in February because one of his coworkers is going to be on vacation, but other than that, he's in-office three days a week and working from here two. We're all quite looking forward to it.

I did manage to find a nice stew-pot at Goodwill. It's about the size of this one, which I *really* want. But, the one from Goodwill was four dollars, which is one tenth the price. If it's the perfect size, then I'll see about paying ninety percent more for my wish listed one. :)

They've both got glass lids, which I just think are dumb. Theoretically, one should be able to look through the lid at the food inside. But, oddly enough, cooking food produces steam. Which fogs up the glass. This prevents one from looking at the food through the lid. And that fog free stuff one can put on one's windshield would probably add an odd flavor to the stew.;)

Poor Sammy. The weather has been springish the past couple weeks...and so now she thinks it's spring. I tell her "It's January...we just had Christmas and Yule, it's winter. I know it doesn't feel like winter and there's no snow, but that doesn't make it spring." but she's still skeptical. As long as she's not trying to go out the door without socks/tight on or in shorts, I guess it's okay. But if it *does* snow this year, it'll really surprise her. :)
