Ooh, here's one of those interesting and nearly unanswerable questions. If you weren't you and came upon your journal, would you friend the person writing it?

~~~
Now I understand Spring Cleaning. It's 'cause things get so cluttered during winter that there's no room to *make* anything. (There are other reasons beyond crafting? How odd.;)
~~~

Possibly the best penguin video *Evarrrrr*. A group of three penguins chasing a butterfly, while a fourth keeps an eye on it all. It's *Very* short, so even those of us in the land of dial-up can watch it easily.

~~~
A few days ago, [livejournal.com profile] popfiend (who is chock full of nifty) asked for interesting facts about his readers. I couldn't think of anything interesting and ended up giving him three mundane facts instead. But, when Jeff and I were watching a repeat of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, I was telling him about the depth of my Van Halen obsession. And remembered something at least semi-interesting.
So, my interesting fact is, I was so excited to get my VH concert shirts (starting with 0U812) that I'd spray them with Scotch-Guard, so they wouldn't get stained. I wore them so often they usually got *holes*, but they weren't stained. *grin* Besides, I can sew...but there are some spots that just won't come out.
~~~

In related news, Weiland isn't allowed to sing Van Halen songs in public ever again.

~~~
I will post pictures soon...I'm still processing them. But *oh* it was nice to have a bit of time to myself after Sam and [livejournal.com profile] darthgeek went to bed (he was still exhausted from the trek home he posted about yesterday). A bit of time when I didn't have to do anything or talk to anyone or answer questions but could just take a few moments and do just as I liked. That was lovely.
~~~

So, I'm poking around IMDB (they changed their new look a bit...I don't hate it nearly as much as I did) and ended up reading the triva for ER

One of the bits said:
In one episode, Dr. Lewis admits that she's only familiar with the Walt Whitman poem "I Sing the Body Electric" because it appeared in song form in the movie Fame (1980). That song in that film was sung by Paul McCrane (Dr. Romano).

Okayyyy...I've seen Fame, multiple times and I don't remember him. It turns out, he played Montgomery McNeil. You know, the guy with the big orange afro. No wonder I didn't recognize him!

~~~
Oh, I also found out that Noah Wylie (who still makes my heart go pitter-pat) is a year younger than his character, John Carter. Gotta admire him for playing an older guy. ;)
~~~

I just heard about the International Edible Book Festival. Beyond cool. They've got pictures from the first festival (in 2000) up to last year's. I've bookmarked the site and will definitely be checking back to see this year's pictures.

~~~
Jeff says I must not say "Health, shemealth" and stay up all day, even if I'm not a bit tired. And though I do want to say and do just that, he probably had a point. And even if he doesn't, he'll give me a look when he gets home and finds out I haven't slept at all. I dislike looks, unless I'm the one giving them. So, I shall go lay down. Might even sleep. If not, I've got like a thousand books next to the bed. So at least I'll be entertained.
Still. Health, shmealth. :p to my everloving (and long suffering) husband.
~~~

DUDE! It's snowing. (For those tuning in late, it was nearly eighty degrees on Monday.) I know, the weather report said it would, but I didn't actually believe it. Dayum. ( I would say something right about here like "I don't expect it will stick" but I'd rather not cause a blizzard)

~~~
Okay. gonna go lay down. But I still don't wanna. *petulant*
