Dec. 24th, 2007 07:00 amJust about everything is done. I've got some stubborn areas on the kitchen floor that will take a bit of scrubbing and there's vacuuming, but other than that...oh, and putting up the tree. But, other than *that*, I think we're fairly good to go.
I still wish fixing the van hadn't eaten the money for the couch, but it's hard to drive a couch to the market.
The living room is finally decluttered. I'm beyond pleased. Oh, and I remembered to get a tablecloth for it and a placemat for Sam. So, the yellow table will be covered, and Sam's kid's table will have a festive new look. If "Finding Nemo" can be considered festive...:)

What else? I've got just about all my shopping done. Just a few stocking stuffers. I absolutely love doing stockings. *And* I found all five of our stockings this year. Yay.:)
Sam has all of her shopping done as well. She's a thoughtful gift-giver. She's really exited about the dog we're getting in the new year, and was talking to my mom about it on the phone a couplethree weeks ago. My mom mentioned that she didn't really like dogs. Sam said "You don't like dogs?! Everybody likes dogs!" My mom laughed and then said that she didn't mind dogs, it was pets that she wasn't into, 'cause they were messy and a lot of trouble. (Once she got me out of the house, I can see why she wouldn't want another messy troublemaker. *grin*)
So, Sam found a very nice statue of a dalmatian. She said "It's a puppy for Grannie Chuckie, one that isn't messy or anything". I admit, I was impressed.

Tiredness is setting in and I still have a couple things I *need* to do before a short nap. So, I shall post now. And hardly ever hold my peace.
