Dec. 26th, 2007 11:20 amYesterday went beautifully. I think everyone was pleased with what they got. I'm absolutely certain that I was. *Grin*

I have a new camera now. It's a Nikon Coolpix S700...11.1 megapixels. Which is *nine* more than the camera I owned when I woke up yesterday (Jeff requested my old camera. I figure, if he uses it more than he did his camera-phone, we'll get him one where the battery door doesn't need to be taped shut. But, it's a really good, solid camera and a great starting place). It just purely rocks and is very shiny. Both figuratively and literally, as it's made of brushed metal. *grin*
*Edit* Jeff just reminded me that it's actually 12.1 megapixels. I'm not sure why I remembered it as eleven. (So, that's *Ten* more than my original digital camera.:)

Santa brought
darthgeek a case of Bawls energy drinks. He was pretty jazzed.
I was going to wrap the box, but I barely got it out of the shipping box (partially 'cause of all the damn packing peanuts. I know they often serve a good purpose, but they drive me, well, nuts) and was worried about turning it over in the course of wrapping. So, I wrote the to/from on the box, stuck a bow on it and called it done.

Sammy got her American Girl doll (which is, I'm beginning to think, all one word), Molly. She was kind of happy. ;) I have to give kudos to the company...that was the easiest doll I ever took out of modern packaging. Her feet were held against the box with a single rubber band and her neck was held with what looked like a hair tie. *Opening* the box took a few seconds longer than removing her, and I didn't need my leatherman at *all*.
I got her the boxed set of Little House on the Prairie books. They were pretty much my very favorite books (and tv show) when I was little, and as I said on the card, I've been waiting her whole life to give her a set.
~~~
Sam's with my parents (she spent the night at their hotel), Jeff's still sleeping and I'm attempting food to get rid of my headache and so I can take my pills. I think all five of us are having a really good time. It's very relaxed and happy.
Yay would be something of an understatement.
