We went to Medieval Times yesterday. It was far more fun than I expected. Of course, just about anything with horses, guys with great hair, guys with great hair riding horses and sword fights is going to be at least interesting. Honestly, their hair was *amazing*...they never mentioned the name of the kingdom (well, when you're in the kingdom, I guess they figure you know *grin*), so I dubbed it the Land of Good Hair on the continent of Conditioner.

Samantha had such a good time. I'm surprised she wasn't horse hoarse by the end, what with all the screaming she did. That child is one of the best rooters-on in the universe. We were in the section of the red & yellow knight. When the knights won an event, the princess gave them flowers, which they then threw to people in their section. We were sitting at the very top of the arena, but once Sam saw they were tossing the flowers to people, she really wanted one. The red & yellow knight was riding past with the flowers, and she yelled and waved...he was almost past when he saw her and stopped, backed up his horse a bit and did his best to get that blossom to her. It fell a bit short and my mum saw him tell his squire that he'd throw her another on the next go-round, but the people in front of us picked it up and gave it to her. She waved it at him and he gave her this big grin. It was great.

Before that, she'd decided that she *really* liked the red knight and was going to root for him. (That's nothin'...I was going to change seats, but I couldn't decide between the blue and green knights. *Grin*) But once she got her flower, she only had eyes for the red & yellow knight.

On the way home, she said "Did you know he has a crush on me?" I thought about it for a second and then said "Oh, I really hope he doesn't" what with her being seven and all. I was kind enough not to remind her that she wasn't the only one to walk out of there with a flower.

If you go expecting a history lesson, you'll be disappointed. But it's a good show and the food was delicious, especially the soup. The coffee sucked though. No vegetarian options that I could see (they had to decide to be period about *that*?;) but there might be a special request option.

Then, when we got home, [livejournal.com profile] darthgeek and I found that we didn't have house keys. Mine are usually in my bag, but I'd used them to get the mail as we were coming home on Sunday and they'd ended up on the big table in the living room. I looked at them and thought "I should put those in my bag, or I won't remember". Well, at least I have the joy of knowing I was right. :p

So, SpiderJeff went around the back of the house, climbed onto our deck, removed a screen from one of the kitchen windows and climbed in. That window is now locked. As is usually is, 'cause I worry about someone climbing on the deck and breaking in. Oh good, more knowing I was right joy. ;-)

He doth rock. Also, being six and a half feet tall comes in handy at times. *And* my keys are back in my bag, where they belong. We're also having a set of house keys made for the van, 'cause he had the remote for the van in his jacket. Though, I think it'll be a very long time before I leave my keys behind again.

~~~
Oh! I forgot to mention that Jeff got me flames for my mixer! Woo!
~~~

This is just cool. Bent Objects. They're small sculptures made of wire and everyday objects. I like all of them, but I think this is my favorite

~~~
Okay. I post now and then go to bed. I would have gone earlier, but couldn't remember if I'd taken my pills today or not. Which makes me suspect not, 'cause I can usually remember *something* about taking them if I try hard enough. So then I had to make sandwiches (well, I wanted sandwiches, I had to acquire food for the pill-taking) and just...stuff.
Not that anyone asked. :)
My moods have been *good* lately. Amazing and very happy-making.
*Edit* Two edits, actually, to fix boneheaded mistakes. Yup, bed for me. :)
